Should have brought the 5/6 wt to sling the nymph rigs, yet the 4/5wt I had performed flawlessly.
Chased this badboy down 2 rapids and 1 waterfall (yes, I took a swim) & yet he never broke off. Kudos to Steffen for making an amazing rod!
Fiberglass > Graphite any day.
(Some of you might catch like this all the time, but I have to tell you how excited I am - this is a big fish for a Texas Boy!)

You should forward that picture/story to Mark and Tim Steffen. I’m sure they would appreciate it.

Great Picture! Not that you need one to remember that fish.

Without any details... Is that a Texas brown? It is big enough.

Appreciate all the encouraging words.
This was in northern Georgia - on the Soque river.
Also hit a grand slam. :-)

Beautiful fish ...speaks a lot for that Steffen rod handling those fish on that water.

Dude! You did the "River Runs Through it" scene. You are indeed a fine fisherman!

Yep, that’s what the guide said too when he was retelling the story to his guide buddies later that day.
The waterfall wasn’t as large as the one in the movie, but that certainly was the spirit of the moment. :-)
He said he had never seen anyone do that at that falls and manage to keep the fish on which, IMHO, is a huge testament to the rod (not to me)!

Fun fun fun!!
