One I built this past year for blue line adventures. Pretty happy with the build. Turned the handle myself on a home made lathe. Paired it up with a little cabelas Cahill clicker :)

Pretty. The minimalist wraps look good.

A one weight. Wow! That's gotta be fun.
Nice job. Really like the burl cork handle.

Appreciated guys! Yeah it’s a fun little brook trout rod.. nice and snappy.. puts a dry fly right where you want it and a 10in Brookie puts up quite a fuss on it.

Cappy, the line I have on it now is a moonlit 1wt line. The line in the pic is now on a different reel :)

Very nice! Vtglass, you and Cappy have already addressed one of my doubts, regarding what line weight actually works with it. But I have two (or three) more questions. What blank did you build that one on, and what thread and finish did you use? That rod must be just the ticket for certain applications.

Hi Pete. They blank is from a shop online - I’ve ordered from this guy before. 2nd I used light rod winding thread… I believe it was gudebrod and the epoxy is from flex coat… hope this helps

Awesome little rod! Would love to give a 1wt a try out on the water. Looks like a great brookie rod!
