A perfect rod for short distance fishing for soft presentations with fine tips but able to push a 3 Line much further if necessary.
Gentle in fishing and not tiring.
Dusty did an excellent job !
I give the rod a warm and very traditional look, with an ultra-selected conifer burl, a classic bi-metal and antiqued hardware in my lab, a velvety slim-fit grip, bi-coloured yellow agate and honey-coloured silk.... a unique object/tool to have in hand.

Many Thanks for Watching !
Paolo

Beautiful rod. This taper is sublime. A pleasure to fish and can handle big bass!

Excellent work, really like the match of thread colour to wood insert, and the contrast with blank colour

Can I ask, what fly line have you found best fits the rod?

Thank you for your kind words....
A Wf 3 I think is the right compromise, however for shorter distance fishing, a DT 4 may also be fine.

Nice build!
The 9’ #3 is THE rod of choice, (in my personal opinion). I hope other rod manufacturers would realize it’s versatility!
