Here's one from an unsung CT rodmaker Brad Stevens. He mostly made and restored bamboo rods, but he also built some glass and graphite. I've only seen a few examples of his work and this is the first glass rod of his I've seen. The finish is excellent and the action is smooth; my kind of rod. Information on this maker is scarce, so I thought I would share photos here, enjoy!

That is a beautiful rod, I really like the retro look the ferrules give it, and color is very nice. I’d like to look at more of work and hear some thoughts on his rods. Thanks for sharing, Mike. My bad, after a search I see Brad passed away several years ago. He did lovely work. Mike.

What a beautiful fly rod. Grip and reel seat perfection.

Thanks all! There's something about the proportions on this rod that just feel so right. The Sizematic ferrules wouldn't be my first choice today, but they actually suit the rod pretty well. Headed off to its new home in Japan on Monday!

Few come close to that kind of simple elegance. Wow.

Being color blind is a drag.
Does the rod blank color match the reel seat color ?

The metal ferrule looks great. Normally I like spigot ferrules but that just works on that rod. The build quality reminded me of russ peake level. Thanks for sharing.

The most regarded makers, bamboo or glass, have one thing in common: proportions of the grips are spot.
No huge 7 inch grips on 6.5ft #3 rods for instance

Brian: It's not a perfect match, but it's very close. Fine grained cherry, perfecto!
