Very nice build, thread and finish work is excellent. I really like the reel seat.

Looks awesome! I prefer that “straight” cork handle style you chose as well, I personally find it more comfortable than the smaller cigar-shaped styles.

Looks very nice! I have a rod built on that blank and the grip is a tiny bit short and small for me. Yours looks like something I might prefer...

I find my hand and wrist is more comfortable and relaxed with a bigger grip, and as such more flexible. So though small handles are a norm from the usual suspects, I find them less effective.

And while I was thoughtful on the aesthetics, function still rules.

Thank you

I'm a big fan of the Danielson (or original Loop) Midge reel. Closed cage construction so no skinny (running) line or backing getting caught!

Phenomenal work. Tasteful without being overdone. I love the detail that you go into on your blog as well. It's an interesting perspective to read what adjustments you would make.

Sport, Thank you and yes, the blog is a journey from a hobbyist, who enjoys craft a nice rod, but wants to keep notes.
