Suitcase-ready fly rod in brown translucent fiberglass. Parabolic taper, featuring original NOS Pezon et Michel aluminum hardware, zebrawood spacer, Powell-style grip, hard chrome snakes and carbide stripper. Guide wraps are maroon with brown ferrule windings. Will be baptized next week, hopefully.

Excellent. Insert of what appears to be Zebrawood really shines as well.

Beautiful!

I love the little triple-wrap detail above the grip.

such clean, even wraps. All the wraps on the guides look like they are EXACTLY the same amount of turns of thread. Great work!

Fantastic. I really love the transition from the cork to the wood insert.

I just got back from my trip and gave the rod a good workout. I fished this rod on the small limestone stream in Serbia, where I grew up. Didn't find any large fish, but caught good numbers of small wild browns, all on dry flies. The rod is precise, loads easy and is a pure joy to fish with.

Walk to the stream, tons of ramps...I made a great soup and salads with them.

Image

My stream is a small limestone sinking stream...it emerges higher in the mountains, flows for a while, and sinks again in the limestone cave. It emerges again from a chalky spring in my childhood village.

Trout are all native wild browns.

Image

Ephemera danica was hatching and trout loved the Dynamite Harry parachute dries during the spinner fall, in the dusk.

Image

Spring boletes just started to appear during my last week, since this spring has been very hot and dry in the Balkans.

Thanks again for the nice comments....Best,
Vlad

Beautiful build! The photos of the stream where you grew up, the country and the fish are stunning. Thank you for sharing.
