Here's one more for today. I really like how the color turned out on this one. Still working to get my epoxy more level.

James Green Semi-Para 7'6" 5wt. Double slide band RL Reel seat... not sure the wood. Guides wrapped clear with the stripper tipped with a single band of dark brown. Ferrules wrapped dark brown with yellow stripes. Signature area wrapped dark brown and light brown with yellow stripes. Personally, I think this is a good looking rod. Matches well with an old Cortland Crown II reel with bronze lettering. I just wish the reel was 3" instead of 3 1/4"

Agreed, a pretty seat and I am digging the wraps as well!

Thanks folks. Of the three rod photos that I've posted, the generic green was the first, the fenwick was the second, and this one was the third. This is the one that I really felt proud of. The colors and wraps turned out very well to my liking. I still got some football shaped epoxy on it, but I'm really happy with how the wraps tie in with the yellow blank and the grain colors of the reel seat.

Whatever wood species that is, it was meant for that blank. Great build!

Very nice. Thanks for sharing. Size of the sliding bands remind me of the early Charlie Jenkins bamboo rods. Those have a cap and a single slide band but the bands are similar to yours. Understated and elegant.

I'll have to look up some of the Jenkins bamboo rods. I did think there was a certain bamboo kind of look to this rod given the color of the blank and the reel seat.
