Hi Folks. (I finally figured out the photo uploader. I posted this before but now here are the photos)

My name is Joel and I've been reading this forum and building rods as a hobby for about a year now, though I haven't posted much. Anyway... thought I'd share a few images of a recent build that turned out ok.

The blank is a 8' 4 wt (though I think it casts a 5 wt well also) that I bought from Rick's Custom Rods. The gunmetal guides are also from him. Bronze reel seat with interesting burl found on ebay. Guides wrapped with green thread that turned translucent. Signature area, hook keeper, and ferrules wrapped with color preserved grey with orange and green accents.

Nothing amazing, but my builds are getting better.

Nice. Great looking reel seat.

Thank you. I built 2-3 rods prior to this one, but this was the first that I thought was respectable enough for public sharing. Of the three I've posted online, this was the earliest, then the yellow Fenwick, then the yellow James Green.
