Chris was nice enough to sell me this blank, based on a Winston Stalker, and provide me with the guide spacing. As a blem blank, it's slightly longer than his typical 703 with a few other minor imperfections.
My good friend, Bill Hickey (WJude) supplied a great mahogany insert and black Pac Bay lite wire snake guides and tip top. The stripping guide is Pac Bay as well. Reel seat hardware is Lemke LC14. I wrapped it in Fishhawk gold with Gudebrod garnet trim here and there. Wraps are finished in Minwax spar. Grip is a shortened slim wells.
Thanks to Chris, my long distance friend Mako (from nca rods in Japan) and Bill (for all the suggestions/knowledge shared). This one will be going to Aurelio's in late June.

There's just something about yellow glass that catches my eye every time. No different this time, especially with that insert.

I read that Chris will be offering some of his blanks to hobby builders. I'll need to come up with an excuse sometime in the near future to try one out.
