Thank you all very much, you've been most kind.

I'm even considering using just this rod this season, and to test it in 3 different river types I fish - small stream, spring creek, and tailwater.

So far, it's small stream fishing only. So far - so good. In "fun to fish category" it's superior to any graphite rod I used, including my all time favorite Winston WT 8 foot 3 weight.

The pools I'm visiting looks kinda like this...

... and the fish I encounter are in 90 % wild brownies, with some grayling and chub - just to spice things a little bit.

One thing is obvious to me, I do need a longer glass. When I build it, you'll be first to know. ;)

super impressive for your first build. The epoxy on my first several builds was awful.

Thanks fellow glass rodders. :)

The more I fish this shorty, the more it grows on me. Light tippet protection - great. Handling quite long leaders and tippet -great (if there's no wind). Casting - absolute joy.

Last time I was in Bosnia was 1992 … glads to see you can safely get out on the beautiful water in that country. Thanks for the pics and great job on the rod. I’m thinking I need a Slovenia trip also one day …
