Hey there,

it's been a while since my last post so I thought I drop some pics here just for entertainment. To explain the title: All rods have been built between the first lockdown in April 2020 and my corona infection at the beginning of February 2022.

Blanks are: McFarland Perpetual 888, Epic 686, cts Quartz 905, Epic DH 116, NFC Iconoglass 868.
Silks used are Celebrated Elephant antique gold, Phoenix red and some sort of maroon?, fishHawk black, sunburst, dark brown, Pearsalls purple, black and white.
Guides are from PacBay, Snake Brand and Tom Moran, strippers also PacBay, Perfect Agate, the 13,5 mm Agate was supplied by a friend...
Hardware: What I had in stock, some China made (American Tackle, Alps) , some American made (REC). Shapes of the grips refer to Ritz (elongated for fighting salmon) and G. Granger.
The rod shown first was made for a long time fishing buddy according to his thoughts (full wells)
That's it. Enjoy!

Wow! Great work. The orange wraps with that stripping guide in the first pic is *chef's kiss*

Truly impressive work!

I like the way you were able to make the agate guides stand out while still pairing perfectly with the other colors on the rods.

Thank you for having a look, Sirs!
Dirk

PS. I missed to show the guides I consider the most aesthetic. By Tom Moran.
And the look of dark claret pearsalls wraps in the sun...

Thank you all for your positive replies!

Besides the first rod the other four actually represent my personal glass collection. In my view, glass is the perfect material for rods in the 8-12 ft range from #3 to #12. Under 8'5" I prefer bamboo, over 11' for #3 -#10 graphite. I also added old phenol(ic) glass or low modulus graphite tips to my bamboo rods for using sink tips or heavy nymphs on them if necessary...

Regards and tight lines for the upcoming fishing season

Dirk

All stunning! Very cool looking green accents in the first few reel seats.
