I built a couple more of these rods last month... honestly hate how much I like them. 2/3wt and 3/4wt.

Nice work. I'm running out of ways to compliment your craftsmanship.

I'm out of the loop on swelled butt rods. What are the advantages/tradeoffs?

Thanks guys. Soft mid and tip with power in the butt, reminds me a lot of bamboo.

Looks great as per usual. In your opinion, which one of these do you feel might be more of the true 3 weight?

I think they both cast a 3wt line. I would use a 3wt DT on the 2/3wt and a 4wt DT on the 3/4wt for my casting rhythm.

I think I like them, I built two more that are almost finished and bought the last 5 blanks Blue Heron had.
