Beside a pile of christmas present rod builds i did over the last weeks, this rod fell just of the dryer…

Blank is the Soulmate glassic 7,3ft 3wt 3pc config in whiskey brown colour. After field testing this model several times during autumn i found a short ritz or cigar grip with downlocking seat gives the most preferable feeling on this model.

On this specific blank colour classic and maybe also vintage concepts work best for me. So i went with a ritz style grip, struble agate guide and h&h single leg guides to prevent the tip being overloaded with weight. Silk wraps made with Kimono in deep red color with cp‘d olive tipping.

The new 2 3/4“ VR Trutta Reels matches perfectly imo size and lookwise.

Set up a vintage look tube to complement the build.

I hope you like it.

Thanks for looking

by the way… if you want, check out the new http://www.soulmaterods.com website i set up for those who are interested in my builds. thx

What a classy rod. Excellent choice of colors and the tube tops it all.
