Wonderful blank made in Japan, by Mr. Kazutomo Ijuin, translucent black colour.
It's one of my favourite blanks. It has a parabolic action and is very powerful. You go fishing even with very little line out.
The look of the rod is classic and understated, with pink accents reminiscent of the famous Japanese cherry blossom in spring.
For spacer I used a beautiful pink ivory from Southern Africa and an extremely light and clean hardware with a black POM accent, created from a design inspired by the vintage hardware of the famous Winston Stalker.
The guides are by "Snake Brand" in Light Wire and the stripping guide is in pink agate, made by Joe Arguello in the USA, kindly provided by my friend Nico Vreugdenhil (Yamame fly rods).
Wraps made with pink Japanese silk complete the assembly.
I made this building for a dear Friend and I hope that this rod will bring him much happiness.
