Just discussed this build in another thread but in the interest of not hijacking it, I'm posting a few pix here.

Here's my first honey build. I went a tiny bit unconventional (for me at least) with the guides on this one: I added one guide above the norm (10 instead of the length rounded up + 1 rule = 9 for a 7'6") and ended up as small as 2/0 for the last couple before the tip top.

It just came off the drying rack so I've only had a chance to cast it a few times in the backyard with a Barrio Small Stream WF4 on it and loved it. Nice, smooth, and feels accurate. I'm looking forward to putting this into my rotation early next year.

Side note: I promised jegstar a detailed post on how I worked thru designing and adding factory replica markings as a dry transfer to an SA System 5 refurbish I posted about here:

I still have that on my to-do list and I'll include a discussion on how I did the somewhat unconventional Lami marking on this build (spoiler: this was a water slide decal coated with acrylic before I trimmed and applied it).

Your attention to detail is spot on, as outlined in your previous post for which you provide the link above. This a great build on an outstanding blank. The reel seat is gorgeous. Thanks

Thx bk. The reel seat is from Ray Lee. He sells on EBay and I've used quite a few of his seats on my builds. I'm never disappointed with their quality and his coms.

That is a beautiful build on one of my favorite blanks. I like the decal too: really mod. Wait until you fish it!

That is a great looking build. Always have loved Lami blanks, building on a number of different configurations, including a “special” factory 7’3” 4wt 4pc which I still have. Great blanks!

Great looking build. You nailed the classic color scheme. I own and mostly fish glass 5wts and 6wts. I own exactly one 4wt and it is the 904. Love it.

A lovely rod! Well done. That 7 1/2 ft Lamiglas is my favorite rod to fish. Beautiful cork too!

Nice build! I recently picked up a Lamiglas 7’ 3wt built by a fellow board member, and it also has a Ray Lee reel seat similar to yours. The wood grain and hardware are top notch. I’m pretty impressed with the Lami honey taper so far.

Very nice, classic build. Is that a Ray Lee reel seat?
