In one month I’ll be on my favorite lake in the Eastern Sierra and plan to battle it’s resident brown, rainbow, cutthroat and Sacramento perch population with this rod. 7” full wells grip, Lemke seat, Snake Brand black nickel guides, American Tackle ring lock black TiCH stripping guide, black nickel winding check, White, gray and bright green Fuji wraps.

Nice build. How does the turbo taper compare to the standard CTS rods in this length and line weight?

Hi All,

I'm interested in this blank and tossing up between the 5 and 6wt.
Its for trout (1-2KG +), to replace a 9' 6wt z-axis for fishing dry dropper, dries, and nymph under indicator.

God willing, I'm dreaming of travel someday and returning to places like-
For polaroiding browns on lake edge Tasmania central plateau
For casting to to feeding browns in NZ rivers like the Mataura (dry, dry dropper)

My first ever fly rod was a Kilwell 8'6" 6wt , it was a bit of a noodle, so looking at a faster action

Has anyone had experiences and recommendations?

Cheers, Gerard
