This is a rod I am calling the Spring Special. It is a blemished 7 ft 6 wt lil stiffy blank Chris sold me Building on glass is hard due to the flex needs of the blank. I felt limited I'm what I could do with the grip. (I tend do build with wood grips) Once I experimented with colors I decided to build my grip around one of Joe Arguello's amazing agate stripping guides. From there I kept it simple using basic cork and acrylic on the grip and seat, lemke and snake brand hardware, and simple thin trim wraps. Sometimes you just need to let a rod speak. I'm glad I did on this one
