Finished it up last Thursday and took it for a test drive on Sunday. Didn't catch any fish (neither did the other two fly fishers I saw, so there were obviously no fish around!), but it casts really nicely! Big thanks to everyone on the forum here who answered my various questions throughout this project, it was a fun project, and really satisfying to take a rod i built myself to the river and make a few casts.

Well done, the rod looks great... I'll bet there will be many more builds in the years ahead.

Thanks for the kind words! I’m pretty happy with how it came out (as long as I don’t look too closely at the wraps on the tip section...).
@2wtt: you guess right, I’ve already got a NFC Iconoglass 4 wt to build next!

Looks awesome!!!! Can I ask why you oriented the stripper guides that way? It’s just different from what I’m used to.

@merkexpress- there was a thread here a little while back where somebody had noticed that T&T orients their stripping guides that way, allegedly to prevent tangles when shooting line. The conventional wisdom among the users here was that it probably doesn't make a whole lot of difference, but I guess I just decided to do it to be a little different? Maybe I'll do it the other way around on my next build and see if there's any difference in functionality...

Beautiful! Really like the natural/white blanks. Makes the components standout.
