Here is recent build on a Black ********* 864-3:

Lemke LC-7 Skeleton in Bright Nickel, with a Juniper Burl Insert, Modified Western Grip, Struble Winding Check, Pac Bay XB Stripping Guide, Snake Brand Universals and matching Tip Top.
I wrapped this build with Pro Wrap Nylon Oak Leaf Green, trimmed with Nylon NCP Sunset. The trim bands match up nicely with color of the Juniper insert.

Thanks for checking it out.

This build certainly makes the case for "less is sometimes more." Great choice of components that complement each other. The rods from wjude fish as good as they look too.

Very nice work - classy. I think that's the first time I've seen juniper burl used in a reel seat.

Thanks for all the great comments.

Ron, that Juniper is nice wood to work with, easy to turn, takes a finish very nicely. Reel Seat Blanks is where I got the pieces before he shut down.
