Bought 3 Iconoglass blanks a while ago and finished the first one. A gray 805-4. Fenwick style grip, Ray Lee dyed maple reel seat. Black wraps with medium green tips at the ferrules, hook keeper and signature.

Impressions:
Beautiful blanks. Large butt, small tip making a pretty severe taper IMO. Should have good feel but power down low to turn a fish. Had to take 1/16" out of Mr Lee's insert and delicately ream the cork till it slid almost all the way to the reel seat. Used regular snakes that I had on hand. Light wires would have been easier in the tip section.
Would've lawn cast it already but its too nasty outside. I used to steelhead fish in worse weather.
Thanks for looking. Rick

Thank you. One correction. I took 1/32" out of the reel seat giving another sixteenth inch of ID making a very nice fit. Ray suggested reaming with a file which I did. Took some time but apparently trying to ream with a drill bit tends to break the insert.
