I apologize for this is a bamboo rod, Admin delete if unacceptable, it is in a Granger Special tube and looks a lot like a granger but has no stamping on the reel seat, and has this curious decal next to a hook keeper. No other identifying marks anywhere. I see what looks like the letters "kill" on the end of this decal, does anybody recognize this decal? $125 at a flea market. Thanks, Steve

It may be an H-I Beaverkill model.

Not an Orvis Battenkill - photos of seat/grip, ferrules, etc. would help with identifying the maker.

We need more photos. That gold background decal is similar to a Sears/Montague treatment. I don't think it's an Orvis.

More pictures for sure, grip, reel seat and ferrules. Plus how long, #of tips and sections.

I’m with John so far, Sears/Montague or possibly some sort of kit rod.

Grey Ghost, I think you would have better luck finding out about that rod on the Classic Fly Rod Forum. If you put a description and the necessary photos in the right sub-forum (appraisals and identification of bamboo fly rods), someone can probably give you the definitive answer and more info than you could imagine.

first thought was H-I Catskill or H-I Beaverkill but they used white ink almost all the time and the writing of the name would run towards the grip
