Playin around with EC and my Pfleuger 575 auto... I haven’t really used autos much at all but I do believe they have their place. Any input on autos would be greatly appreciated! The weight of this reel balances out this rod pretty good!! I’ll need to play around with different lines when the weather warms... cheers

Make sure the reel is set so the auto retrieve stops at the end of the flyline.Even the flyline to leader connection can take out the tip on the stronger than you would think retrieve.Believe me i know.

Great fun. Lots of tips right here, and maybe you, too, will become "obsessed." viewtopic.php?f=4&t=62758&hilit=automatic+reels

Thanks guys!!! I knew I saw a thread at one point here on autos. My uncle is an auto guy.. he loves them on his old Fenwick glass but didn’t fish anymore.. that’s where I think it started for me... I’ve half heartedly played around with them in the past but now am going to give em a proper go!
