And she is all aglow! Now I understand all the hubub about this rod. It just feels right in the hand and the old Orvis is a perfect match. The next time you see it it will have a brookie, rainbow or cutt also telling of its virtues. And man do I like the aluminum tubes alot more than the brown plastic ones.

Very nice! I picked one up several weeks ago but have yet to fish it, had to do a little touch-up on it, finish was peeling in spots. Enjoy your FF70!

You done good. I noticed the reel seat too, would have thought that was from a later rod but probably just an uncommon /early pairing.

Have to add, if you like the rod now, just wait till you get it on the water..

I've got the -4. D series also. It does a lot of things really well. Very versatile.
