Here is one of my absolute favorites, Markus Haldin's 7', 5wt. Markus has a line-up of short, fast glass rods. I assume a few of you are familiar with his work. Markus is from Finland, and we have fished together. He is a dare devil on the water and a very colorful person. He is building full time, but has had a break lately. His blanks are hard to come by at the moment, but I know that there is a stock dealer somewhere in the US. Nevertheless, this rod was finished with my own reel seat hardware in blued brass and NS. Straight Ritz and chrome guides, wrapped with green Elephant silk.

Thanks for looking! Stay healthy!
Christian

Thanks!

Here is a picture of the butt cap. New design on this build with double sleeves.

I managed to purchase a used epic 376 built by Christian Holgrem this year . The build quality is excellent and it has performed admirably on trout and small bass and bluegill. It’s become one of my favorite rods in my quiver. He is a talented rod builder

Looks outstanding as usual! I have the rust orange 57 blank that I’ll be starting on this winter. Is there a particular line you find to be best with this rod? Thanks for any opinions you can offer.

As usual, the simplicity of your builds speaks volumes.
