Hi there,

just finished that Epic Packlight rod.
Dedicated to the Cutthroat trout and this time build with a custom build bamboo reel seat (spacer).
I added some pics to let you know, how I build the spacer. That bamboo work is pain in the arse as is it going to crack when you turn it....drilling it at the very end of that process is a challenge as well ;)
But anyway...it worked and the rod is ready to fish now.

Blank: Epic Packlight 476 olive
Guides: 8+1 Snakebrand
Reel seat: Custom bamboo
Wrapping: Pearsell Gossamer light olive with black and white trims
Grip: Custom Cutthroat trout

Hope you enjoy it!

Cheers
Jens

Very nice build. Thanks for including photos of your process for stacking the seat.

Thanks for your kind words!
I will definitely fish that rod - it is pretty but durable as well. So no problem...it is made for use!
