I swear I don't go looking for these Lamiglas blanks, they find me! The latest was a FL1027M spigot ferrule blank. The grip, fighting butt, and downlocking reel seat are from Proof. The guides are lightweight black nickel from Snake Brand. I went with sunburst, tipped with orange nylon for the wraps (thanks to Musicar for posting this color scheme on a Lami blank).
I got to try it out last weekend and was really impressed. It can handle 6-8 weight lines and cast a bass bug by itself. Very similar feel to my Fenwick FF85. The Lami is a bit lighter with a bit softer tip, it might become my hex rod next July. I appreciated the fighting butt as well, trying to keep the bass out of the lily pads.
Thanks for looking!
