Recently built this one on request for a customer from the netherlands... a classy, semi vintage concept was requested, so it came out as shown. All hardhare and woodwork is shopmade, snakebrand uni guides, perfect agate stripper, gossamer silk and CP’d Kimono Tipping... could not resist to lawn cast it before it ships, and i need to say that the blank has outstanding feeling and casts wonderful with a 4wt wf line...thanks for looking

I like the look of that blank in the dark color. That taper is one of the best all around glass 4wt tapers. It's not my favorite of the McFarland tapers (I like the 8'8" 4wt and some of the spruce creek tapers, but they are much more specialized). You customer will be extremely happy with that rod. It is a piece of art.

Very classy hardware with matching ferrule plugs. The figured crosscut insert is gorgeous. What species of wood is that?
