Recently finished off this amber Ben's 7' 3wt 4pc in all black nickel. Lemke LC14 with custom-turned snakewood insert and grip. Finished off with spar. I did a lot of test casting (fishing even) with the guides taped on and a makeshift seat/grip, and I think I've found the perfect short-ish glass 3wt for my style and kind of fishing close to me. Smooth 3wt with flex or strength in all the right places for my taste, and being a 4pc is a bonus. I think this has been one of the more satisfying builds I've done. Thanks for looking.

A better look at the blank

Thanks guys. I'm realizing why the first 4 pics look odd to me, which are actually outside in almost midday. The light was very muted from the big brown haze yesterday from the Sahara dustcloud. Must've been worse during that time than when I took the 5th pic. I might retake those (when the dust settles, heh).

Really nice job. Can’t go wrong with gold, brown, and black.
