I have been building out some of the McFarland Black S glass blanks that I recently had in stock. There is not a whole lot you can do with a black blank but I am finding some thread work that show up quite well.

7'0" 3wt 3pc ( this is a neat rod, Mike calls it a Japanese special because it's a touch softer than the normal taper). I think it cast well with both DT2 and DT3 lines. Chestnut thread tipped in antique gold color locked.

Mike's Perpetual 7'10" 8wt. Lots of power in this one. Burgundy wraps, with a little black and metallic gold.
