Nice Lanny, i had two of the original Lemon Drops , a 3 and a 4 weight ,they were pretty stiff and cast better with one to two line weights heavier, have you fished or cast this yet.let us know what you think.

MT trout, it’s not a Paddock lemon drop it’s a CTS blank with the pale yellow lemon drop color. So far I have cast it with a WF 4 F 406 and Rio light line and both lines loaded it very well. It loads well at short distances and has plenty of power for 45’ casts. It’s nice and light, is very smooth effortless casting and has a soft tip. I like it’s medium fast action.
Glacier Rambler thank you!
Lanny

Rumor has it that it’s supposed to be very similar in action to the Epic 476. Can you speak to that?

GlacierRambler, the only Epic 7’6” 4 wt I have cast was the older 3 piece model. I think the actions are close but to me the CTS is a little faster, has smaller blank diameter and is lighter.
Like stated above the CTS loads at short to medium distances very well. It cast effortlessly and is very smooth and light. I tend to like WF lines I am sure a DT line would slow it down and load it further down the blank. I think the actions between the two rods is negligible, either one would be great

Not trying to drift away here but I reviewed the recent four piece Epic 476 and I thought it was nicer with a 5 weight line.

Just saw this really pretty build...nice work! I have a CTS 8 wt and would love to try the 7'6" 4 wt. The 8 wt is very fast, in my opinion. The yellow wraps on your glass are great looking.
