Wow! Beautiful builds. And pictures.

Looking forward to hearing a bit about the action of the Haldin blanks.

@roblepl: Thanks! ProWrap Rattan.

@Swedish_Fish218: Appreciate it! Unfortunately these are for a company in the UK, I have to wait a bit to order my own to test out but I love them already and kind of don't want to ship them out! ha.

Very nice looking build. Is that a new blank from Haldin? I have not seen that one on their website.

Thanks! Yep, he has two new blanks for a company in the UK, DryFly. I am helping Markus sell his blanks in the US on my site, in the future I'm also hoping to help DryFly sell these here in the US as well.

Like everything about them. The agate guide looks like it was made for those rods.

Elegant blank color—I am a sucker for translucent blanks in about any version of amber.

They do take on a really organic appearance, to me a big part of the appeal of contemporary fiberglass

I completely agree! As soon as I got these to build, I was asking when I could get more so I could keep one! haha

Beautiful builds, I especially like the grips. I’m very curious about their line weight preference. Over the years I’ve found too many three weight rods load/fish better with a four weight line. As you learn more about this blank, please come back with your thoughts. Thanks, Jeff

Thanks Jeff! I just heard from the UK where these are headed and he let me know that the cortland 3 wt line he used with these works great. Although it will also cast a 4 wt line I'm sure, it kind of depends on your casting style and preference really. But I have found that the other Haldin rods and these new ones all work really well and stay true to their line weight.
