This is my latest build, a Lamiglas Honey 6'6" 3wt. Out of the Honey series, this one is most different. It does not have as strong of a butt as the 7' 3wt, 7'6" 4wt, and 8' 5wt. I have already "baptized" it and a 4" brook trout will put a big bend in it. I don't have a line smaller than a 3 wt to try, but I bet it could be fished with a 1 or 2 wt, line. Heck, it roll casts just a 9ft leader just fine. You can't help but smile when casting it!

This was my first attempt using silk and doing trim bands - for the most part I was happy with the results.

Main wraps are Kimono silk mossy oak and trim bands are nylon Fish Hawk medium brown. Snake brand guides. Epoxy was TM lite. Reel seat is from Ray Lee, everything else was bought from Proof.

Thanks for looking!

Nice job. Love my 73 and 76 Lami honeys.

Great work! I like your color and component choices. Brook trout rods are special to me, so it's nice to see this one.

Thanks for the kind words guys! Tomah, this rod is not as versatile as the others in the series (Picketpin, the 7'6" and 7" are my favs too), but it is going to make a great blue lining brook trout rod. I figured now that I build both 3s and the 4 wt, I might as well complete the series and build the 8' 5wt, so that is what I'm working on right now.
