My Fisher GT 40 8'6 5/6 before Mako applied the finish. We planned this one together. Inspired by 40th anniversary T& T graphite.

Completed rod. Briar wood insert and acorn cap seat hardware. Cork custom fit to my hand size.

Glass build on an Heirloom blank.

Reel seat retrofit on a factory Lotic.

Matt Leiderman/T & T inspired glass build.

Kaneglass referenced build.

Only the GT 40 is mine but I'll certainly be adding more of Mako's work to my collection.

Wow. Lots to take in. All of it beautiful. Tons of respect for what Thomas & Thomas has done over the years.

Here's my ode to T&T Heirlooms, this is the 7'6" 3wt model, the best casting rod of any material in that format I've ever cast.

Eastprong- I haven't had the pleasure of casting one but you aren't the first person I've seen make that comment. Need to try one out. I know Mako still gets requests for builds on the 763.

I helped Mako track down this Heirloom blank in the US and he recently finished it for a customer in Japan. It's a 763.
