I got my christmas present in the mail yesterday and it is beautiful! This is the first rod I have purchased from a builder and it was such a good experience that I am sure there will be more. Larry was awesome and I cant wait to fish this rod!

Great Christmas present. Nice looking rod and you will enjoy fishing it. I have the same rod and absolutely love it. And you are correct Larry is awesome

I think you're really going to like that rod. That's a rod that a lot of people rave about but you never see on the classifieds.

Very nice to see the new colored blanks! I have one in latte color. Its hard to imagine a better all around travel/backpack trout rod. Congratulations!

Thanks guys, I can't wait to fish it. This is my first translucent fly rod and I am enamored. Apologies for the dirty garage shot, but I like how you can really see the glow of the blank in this shot:

I moved this thread from Glass Tech to Rod Photos. I feel it fits best here. Eatfood shared photos of a beautiful new rod with us, so the subject literally is "Rod Photos".

    For what it is worth,
  • If the discussion is about vintage and classic glass, then Collecting Fiberglass Rods
  • If the discussion is about new glass, then Glass Tech
  • If the whole point is desirous photos for the rest of us to ogle and drool over, then definitely Rod Photos

Beautiful. You will like that rod. the new color is real pretty. I like the original color too. Is larry offering both or just the new color blanks?

Will do. I took it out in my snowy back yard to cast around for a minute and I am really liking it! I have the WF 406 5wt line and it seems to be a good fit (at least in yard casting with no fly).
