Thank you. My idea when blank arrived ( >: crazy shipping cost + VAT + Custom Duty) was to do something different from a "cover" of factory made rod. Assuming this is a "modern glass", I decided to mix and match classic and traditional:

- down-locking reel seat, silk smooth Sardinia's cork grip, agate strippers (double stripper was due to mistake in ordering, than I thought: two, why not?)

- metallic gun-smoke thread to have contrast on glossy black blank, red trims and white alignment dots to remind Diamondback logo.

Having fun with rods because fish are missing ... :eek

This is a nice build. I like what he did with that black blank.

Skunkedalot, last Sunday was season opening in Brenta River (North Eastern Italy)
I hooked on a #16 nimph, and rapidly released, a 22 inches Rainbow with the Meeker. The rod works nicely, has plenty of power but it's pleasant to cast. I hope I'll test with dry flies soon.

Meeker is, in my opinion, different from my old Diamondglass but definitely a rod to fish hard.

I cannot exemp myself from thanking so much Mr.Gregg Thorne of Diamondback Rod Co. : due to my fault I made a hairline crack on the tip section of my Meeker Glass Rod. I asked Diamondback for a replacement tip and Mr. Thorne did his best to sort out my problem. People who "make the difference"!
Thank a lot once again for outstanding assistance,
Antonio
