Kenny 8`3 5/6wt proto

This is my latest build, a 8`3 Kenny prototype. The reel seat is a Lemke LC17 with a walnut burl insert turned by Ron Weber. The guides are Original bronze by Snake Brand.
The grip is of bleached cork, I did not sand it properly so you can see some of the bleach between the cork rings.

This is Larry's description of the blank:

"The tip is a bit too strong and the butt a bit too soft compared to the final 835. I'd likely fish it with a WF6F It's a medium slow action rod that would be fine for streamers and bigger nymphs."

No, the stripping guide is a English bronze light wire guide from Golden Witch. I also love bronze hard wear, but I have a hard time finding components with the right color tone in order to mach every thing up, like on this rod, the stripping guide that is in english bronze gets a bit light compared to the snake guides and the reel seat.
