How do these do on twisting?
Do you find yourself reseating theI' rod sections often during an outing?
You may not have much experience with spigot ferrules, or maybe it's with spigots that someone else wore out by twisting them.
I've been a fan since my first Fisher Combo in '92, and still fishing hard.
A properly set spigot ferrule isn't going anywhere.
The Japanese have taken it a step further in telescoping rods. This 6-pc telescoping UL stream baitcaster - the only other rod that fits in my bike half-frame bag - takes that next step in 5 additional sliding line guides. None of it twists after it's set.
They make spinning also. The real advantage to this configuration is you can collapse it rigged and pedal to the next crossing.
