Any more observations on those Feelex IIs? Nice rods? Smooth acrions?

Same exact taper as the Feelex I for both the 7' and 7'6" rods, just a different color.

Interesting… thanks for the clarification.

A 6 PC.

How do these do on twisting?
Do you find yourself reseating the rod sections often during an outing?

@sixfootfenwick, you named yourself after after a rod that made my bottom-three list.
This one is in the top three.

My AirLite 6-pc is one of those couldn't pry, etc. .

Plus it's the only fly rod I own that fits in a half-frame bag on a bicycle.
fwiw, the 10-pc Axisco glass has its fans on this forum, also

You may not have much experience with spigot ferrules, or maybe it's with spigots that someone else wore out by twisting them.
I've been a fan since my first Fisher Combo in '92, and still fishing hard.

A properly set spigot ferrule isn't going anywhere.

The Japanese have taken it a step further in telescoping rods. This 6-pc telescoping UL stream baitcaster - the only other rod that fits in my bike half-frame bag - takes that next step in 5 additional sliding line guides. None of it twists after it's set.

They make spinning also. The real advantage to this configuration is you can collapse it rigged and pedal to the next crossing.

Have you casted a modernized 72-6 or 5?
I find them much different than the 605 and the 60.
Just saying.
It's by far my favorite sub seven fly rod for blue lines, and I own some dandy's.
I'm actually very excited to recently acquire a mint 72-6 one piece blank. I'm going to extend it about 6" and leave it one piece. Got a beautiful RL reel seat in spalted maple for it.

Bigger than 7 foot, I'm a huge Fisher fan myself.

Thanks for all the other info.
My spigots on some of my rods do not turn but some of my other vintage rods do after a long outing and need reset. Likely from prior owners twisting as you described.
It's why I asked, but full disclosure, I've never owned more than a 2 PC.

Edit:

"That little painted ring also serves as an index of the original ferrule fit. It may also make it easier to notice when fishing that a ferrule has loosened because the white will become visible. If not in the habit of checking ferrule snugness, might be a little visual convenience to develop that habit."
