Here's pictures of my Vince Cummings Ultimate 9' 8-9 weight rod I found from eBay few years ago. Ultimate was his top of the line rod serie.
Vince was especially known about his wrappings. I cannot agree more. There's nothing to blame when you take a close look of the rod.

My favourite rod at the moment is Vince Cummings River Rat Model RR80, 8ft rod for 7 or 8wt lines. I like it best with Orvis WF7F. Its very powerful rod, quite fast actually, and its casting abilities are just beyond everything I have experienced so far. Very versatile rod and when it comes to roll casting, this rod, at least to my hand, is the best there is.
The rod is very light in weight and the blank actually almost translucent, you can really see the sunlight through it. Not sure about the exact weight but Im sure its less than 3oz. I believe the blank Vince used for River Rat came from 3M but Im not sure about it. River Rat model is not mentioned in Johnsons book and Im not sure when they were made but I believe River Rat was one of his later models, maybe early 80s (?) Would love to hear more about this model.
Wrappings and attention to details are great but IMHO Vince rods are primarily amazing fishing and casting tools and when you have his rod in your hands you can feel that Vince really thought about it long and hard when it comes to casting and fishing abilities.
The other rod in the pictures is Cummings Superlite II 8', suited for 4 or 5wt lines, works great with 5wt.
Thanks to all!
