Here are a few pics of the anniversary rod. The pics are not great, but should give you an idea of how the rods look.

What is that wood in the spacer? That is beautiful! And the rod is pretty nice as well.

Thanks. The spacer is spalted maple that was harvested from a tree in a friend's yard. I received a box of wood like this specifically for these 10 anniversary rods.

Very nice.

I love that banded agate stripper. I want to include one on a rod that I am planning for this summer. I've seen the agate guides at Goldenwitch ... any other retail sources you recommend? It's going on a Lamiglass honey colored blank with a maple reel seat so I'd like to have a pale yellow colored agate.

Thanks for the photos.

David

Mike,
Absolutely incredible! Love the obvious quality of the cork and the great markings on the spalted maple. Are you selling these retail or it is a one-off for you?

Dave,
Snake Brand also sells nice agate stripping guides. REC carries some nice ones too. I have experience with the Snake Brand ones and they are beautiful!

Thanks for the info ... I checked the Snake Brand web site and you're right - they are nice. They've got some nice pale yellow ones that I think would look great with the Lamiglass blank. And it sounds like they will work with you on the phone to get the right shade of color for you.

Is it true that the feet on the Snake Brand require little prep prior to wrapping?

Thanks

Dave

I've only had to prep one guide in three rods worth -that's 1/27. INHO they're worth every penny and probably a lot more. MUCH better than the overpriced junk coming from H and H lately -there's some serious foot prep!

Mike I think you've moved from artisan to artist with this rod. Beautiful!
