This rod casts wonderfully with a DT6. It's very light and more flexible than it looks, but with plenty of backbone. I'm sure it was made in Korea, but it's a great rod and was a really great buy.
I plan to take it after stripers later this year.

Rod ... reel ... VERY COOL! You have a fiberglass rod(s) and reel for every single fish species in Texas.

Before a fishing trip you must stand in front of your rod/reel closet or room ... I'd imagine it is a whole room ... and be completely perplexed what outfit(s) you are taking to the water that day. I know ... life is tough sometimes ...

I always take a spare rod and, when I'm driving and exploring several crossings, I will vary the size, a sinker and floater for each rod - yes, I do sometimes studder over which reel to load for each and each rod this time. (I just finished rigging for this weekend ... )

Also, just read a Corps of Engineers report on the outlook for our tailrace discharge - I may be fishing stripers on the 23rd.
