#18 short hook (#20 might be more true to life size but I can't see well enough anymore)
duck flank body, stem and all
Senyo Laser Dub wing
grizzly parachute, wound between body and shank
I make the modular body on a needle first, wing and all, and then start working with the hook
Casts well, foats well, dries off quickly, always lands upright. Fish like'em.
All small dry flies are hard to tie. I find these easier to get right than a traditional Catskill pattern this small.
Bigger Catskills are not so hard. But I do struggle with the little ones. Like this.
