I did this one with backing loops. I have some small black rubberbands now that make it a bit easier.
Make one specially prepared jig hook, and then you can change flies without cutting the line.
Works with streamers too.

This is possibly for big flies only. I'll have to think about how it might work for smaller flies. Changing flies without cutting the leader is good for me.

I am going to have to file this one away in my brain. Tippet rings are good, but you still have to cut off, and I haven't seen any really good safty-pin type latches that are light enough for fly fishing.

I'm curious on how the process of changing the fly goes. It looks as troublesome as re-tying. Are you using this for floating flies?

I'm wondering if you've tried tying your flys with a pre-attached loop (recommended by Charlie Meck) so you can do loop to loop connections to swap out flies?
