It's been awhile! Between family time, work, fishing, and filling bug orders I've had my hands full but love it all! Here's some recent stuff...from shadow box displays to fishing flies.

Very nice!

As timing would have it I caught 5 Fox river smallmouth on your Hatchling Craw Sunday with a Phillipson Royal and intermediate fly line, lots of fun!

I had started with a black bugger and was getting short strikes and once I switched flies I started connecting. The Hatchling Craw is an effective pattern that I also enjoy for pond panfish.

That's great to hear! I tie and fish them alot in size 6 for Smallmouth but size 8 and 10 have accounted for many panfish as well as creek bass. It's definitely my go-to subsurface fly.

Great to see your work again B.It is definitely smallie time Russ.We have lost access to some of our best creeks .There are a few where we flip rocks as the ONLY thing they will eat is hellgrammites or little crabs.Even the big ones want smaller bait.So B's baits are just perfect. If you have shoreline brush big Chernobyl ant type baits will get a fish or two.Have not fished the Fox in a long time.Fish the Kankakee tribs and the DesPlaines below Joliet. The DuPage just before it enters the bid river etc.B is just a great tyer.Friends Dave W to boot.

Those deer hair minnows are almost too pretty to fish. I found an old Fiberglass Manifesto article with your hatchling craw pattern recipe, so I’m going to try tying a few. I always have better luck on small buggers than crawfish, but I’m convinced it’s because I haven’t found the right crawfish pattern yet.

El Duderino- I was in the same boat for yrs until I started experimenting and tying smaller craws. I think they're just less obtrusive and the fish don't think twice about eating them. It's my most productive bug by far!

Excellent creations. Have not seen that type of multi color rubber legs as shown on your craw.

Those flies transcend great fly tying to being the works of an artist.
