Looking for a few good books on fly tying and entomology. I came a cross the Lafontaines Caddisflies, but the guy (here in france) wants 60 euros for it. Lot of people talk about it, but is it worth that kind of money?

Don’t know the book but checked Amazon and they have used hardback copies of the book for $118.00. So the €60 doesn’t seem extreme.

I believe Caddisflies would be described as a modern classic.

It is one of the best fly fishing books I ever purchased! I'm very glad I bought it when it was first offered. I'd buy it...

I purchased the book years ago when it first came out.It is absolutely the bible for caddisflies.I found it was a bit too technical for me.I need simple.I think I paid back then what that guy is asking now.I would grab it.I actually regret selling it now.I also regret selling a book on stoneflies which was the authority on stones. The only good book I have left now is Hatches. If you dont have hatches you should try to get a copy of it as well for a book on mayflies.

Entomology yes, but for tying no.

I would suggest you pair it with Oliver Edward's fly tying book.
