How do you remove hard resin from your vice jaw? My old vice I didn’t care but I just bought a Regal with a midge head and it has to look new for a while

My best advice is not to get it there in the first place. I just have a pocket knife handy when I fail to follow my best advice.

Regal recommends Hoppe's No. 9 for cleaning so I'd try that first.

Acetone is also supposed to work, but before I would use it on a nice vise like that, I would experiment with some cured resin someplace else to see of it has the desired results. THEN, I'd call Regal and ask if it is OK to use, keeping in mind it MAY damage plastic parts or painted surfaces on the vice.

Bottom line, sloppy adhesives other than basic head cement are best applied someplace other than in your vice if you hope to keep it clean, which is what jhuskey is suggesting. I'm not big on glues, but when I use epoxy or UV stuff, I take my creation out my vice and jab it into a hunk of foam or in my rotating dryer.

Good luck!

I'd probably go with razor blade, since there's always one right there, but, maybe- https://dymax.com/content/download/3666 ... ins_tb.pdf
