Nice! I first tied the original pattern for Strippers, then a variant with Pearl Diamond Braid, they will work on anything that eats skinny baitfish. So simple.

Nice fly. Been tying a lot of Rays and closely related flatwings lately. Might have to try one like this...

Did you use red hackle fibers under the body?

I tied these last week; basically the original pattern with a little bit of short red bucktail tied in first. And I didnt have any light green or yellow thread handy.

Yep red hackle on the throat and those are beauties!!! So many color combos to use as well!
