I don't comment on this sub-forum often, but those are beautifully executed flies! Thanks for posting them!

Agreed, those are fantastic.
What finish is used on the body? That side fade looks really good to my eye.

Thanks gents; the bodies are “store-bought”; floating foam jig heads. A simple fly, excellent for panfish and bass. I can’t recommend them for trout though; They will draw interest, but I find the short shank hook lends itself to short strikes.

Top notch paint work. What kind of action does the flat wing style tail give them.Never seen that done.

Had some of these jig heads lying around from my time in Kentucky and Colorado chasing walleyes. Had to try some of these flies for myself. Figure they will be great on creek bass and bigger sunfish.

Alex goes way back on bass flies
You can always spin them with epoxy and paint them under or over.

Man those are pretty little fly rod lures.
I'm reluctant to show my crude little fish catchers.
Usually it's after I've tried all the usual suspects,
without much action, that I drag these out.

These things are real fish catchers.
Simple to make and extremely effective
here's a smallmouth I caught with the green lure a couple of weeks ago.You can see the lure
under the fishes mouth.

This river is full of smallmouth
