Planning to kick off some much needed box filling this afternoon. Probably start with some pheasant tails, midges, and a few parachute adams.

Humpys and Stimulators. The small creek box really got down there toward the end of last season. Gotta restock.

Been going crazy with the pnk squirrels and scuds. Tied a few dozen of each in various sizes. Next I'll be tying some worms and Tup's Indispensibles for the fly swap.

I add CDC to almost all my nymphs nowadays. Been tying up a bunch in preparation for the Great Waters Expo this coming weekend here in the Twin Cities. Here's a CDC-Enhanced Rubber Leg Prince Nymph I tie. Great for trout and big ol' bluegills.

I like that take on a Prince...might just have to tie up a few of those for my next outing.

Thanks for the nice words about my Prince nymph. I tie those Princes in 10s & 12s. Switched from peacock herl to Ice Dub a long time ago. Got tired of the herls busting. Otherwise it's pretty straightforward

I'm lovin' the Steve Farrar's blends...that's a size 10 fish skull mask on there...

Lately I've been tying with a little extra material with the idea being that one could trim as needed based on water/conditions.

St. Patrick's day flies yesterday -- Banns and Green silks, on wet hooks for lough fishing, along with a few pints while tying.

These aren't in my vice anymore but they're the last flies I tied (last week). First time tying a Foxee Redd Clouser Minnow. Did them in sizes 6, 8, and 10.

sweet clousers...

Today was the first day this year that I spotted "Nessie" my local work pond largemouth (she's grown quite a bit since last year), so I tied up these hoping to entice her tomorrow after hours...

I just started tying so I've been practicing on one of my all time favorites, the soft hackle pheasant tail. This one in size 18.
