Man, those are some sweet looking flies! I just need to sit down and tie some game changers. I have tied articulated flies but never the full monty game changer style. The size on yours is perfect for my day-to-day water, and I bet those things just wiggle and hang so perfectly. Any pattern details you could throw to we lesser tiers would be greedily devoured.

Playing around further with the Ahrex PR378 Predator Swimbait hooks....built in keel to help keep it riding hook up with a neutrally buoyant fly (pretty important in certain fisheries).

I've tested out a couple of other, simpler flies on these hooks that I really like, so added a little more to these (but not too much....until I swim them). These are just smaller ~7" Tiger Musky flies on the 4/0 PR 378.

Cheers!

Wow. I looked up the sizes on those ... looks like they are made for fish where you may not want to dangle your feet in the water while in the boat :)

I was cleaning up some of my fly tying stuff, and came across some tan monster dub that I had been looking for, so naturally, I had to tie something up for later this week...

Cheers!

They are curious critters. It's funny, the first tiger musky I ever caught showed up and wasn't looking at my fly, but my flippers. It gradually faded away and I threw my fly in its general direction, and caught it....that certainly got my heart moving...

Me too,my fly tying/fishing room is a complete mess.Digging thru totes etc.Only been at the new house for 2 years.Have most of the tying stuff in order but all the old gear and man cave deco and rods every where .Promised myself no tying until all the gear, fly fishing and otherwise is sorted according to what i am keeping, gifting or selling.Getting older and starting to feel it.Friends are retiring and moving away.My enthusiasm for tying is stronger than in a long time.

A buddy of mine is headed to Mexico next week. He's hoping to get into some lagoon tarpon so I tied him some double wide gurglers:

Midges are on the agenda for me as well. I'm trying to fill out my stillwater box with a decent selection of chironomids.

Only two more rows to go!

Blane’s Hybrid GC straight out of the vise.

If you need a fiberglass stick to throw one of these, I’m sure Chris Barclay could cook something up.

A little more appropriately sized hybrid Game Changer. And a mini tied with Beast Brushes. Not quite BMBailes quality but I’m not too upset about it.
